Lyndon Glancy

Founding Director

A Founding Director of Glancy Nicholls Architects, Lyndon established the Birmingham-based practice in 2004. He had a desire to develop the landscape of cities and their place in producing well-considered buildings; something which stills stands true today.

With over three decades of experience and a specialism in designing spaces for inner city living, Lyndon has helped enrich communities and the built environment both on his doorstep in Birmingham and further afield across the UK.

Working in collaboration with Local Authorities and a breadth of public and private institutions, Lyndon has helped implement numerous masterplans and regeneration initiatives, bringing his clients’ vision for change to life. Lyndon has a real passion for progressive transformation and truly believes that through high quality and sustainable architecture, along with well-designed external spaces, we can have a direct and positive impact on people’s wellbeing.

Lyndon is passionate about delivering for existing communities and raising the aspiration for those neighbourhoods whilst integrating local cultures, businesses, and residents to ensure a sustainable future for the project. He is experienced in designing complex inner-city schemes, from high-rise residential buildings, to delivering on the Government’s levelling up strategy and bringing forward transformational regeneration schemes.

Lyndon’s passion for his projects is infectious; something which has helped shape the vibrant studio culture that has been evident from day one at Glancy Nicholls.
