As part of the roadmap towards Net Zero Carbon, we have reviewed our business to determine how much carbon we produce in our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Over the past few months, we have been evaluating the potential approaches to offset generated carbon and evaluating opportunities to reduce our carbon expenditure.

Our new offsetting certification is provided by a combined approach to climate/technology renewables projects and woodland reforestation funds, procured through Carbon Neutral Britain. They also supported our carbon review, assisting our calculations in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standards.

Alongside this we are continuing to assess the impacts of our design work as we focus on lower carbon solutions. As part of this process, we have recently joined the AECB to guide our approach to design and specification. Additionally, we are utilising 1Click software on projects within the studio, a global Environmental Product Declaration database and assessment tool which enables us to assess the life cycle of our designs and reduce the embodied carbon in our material selections.
