Travelodge & Aparthotel, Hackney

Glancy Nicholls Architects were appointed by LPC Living to deliver full architectural services, developing the project through to completion. Building on experience gained from previous collaborations with Travelodge, the team produced comprehensive construction information for this mixed-use development.

Situated on a constrained urban site adjacent to Hackney Central Overground Station on Amhurst Road, the scheme maximises its footprint to create an efficient and vibrant destination. The ground floor accommodates three retail units — including a trading TK Maxx store, alongside two additional retailers.

Above, the development is divided into two distinct wings: a six-storey, 80-bed Travelodge hotel, and a five-storey Aparthotel, providing a complementary mix of short- and long-stay accommodation within a dynamic urban context.
