Tennant Street

Planning permission has been granted on this 12-storey aparthotel scheme, in the heart of the city centre. Alongside 198 guest rooms, the design creates an active double-height ground floor and mezzanine level, providing front-of-house and amenity facilities including a lounge, bar and restaurant, meeting rooms and gym.

The façade design has been carefully articulated to pay homage to the historic Lead Mill which originally resided on the site. Titanium zinc panels, which contain lead-like weathering properties, puncture a solid uniform brick façade, creating an articulated but simple overall massing. The ground-floor-level hotel amenity spaces are celebrated with a bold brick double-height colonnade, whilst the entrance is expressed with a coloured glazed brick.
