Glancy Nicholls Architects have developed the Longbridge Veterinary Referral Centre’s external shell and core design on behalf of St. Modwen. This is the first commercial development to be submitted for planning under the £20 million infrastructure investment at West Longbridge Business Park in Birmingham.
The new Referral Centre will create up to 150 highly skilled jobs for the area and will feature research, treatment, diagnostic, laboratory, and administrative spaces. It will also have the latest medical equipment, including CT and MRI scanners. We have worked with the end-users to understand their requirements and provide an intuitive external design that responds to these complex needs.
The brownfield site, where the development is to be established, is situated at the Southern Gateway to West Longbridge Business Park. Located next to spacious parkland, the Centre benefits from access to the River Rea with its’ new meadow spaces and native hedgerows.
The new Veterinary Referral Centre will act as a keystone for Longbridge West, creating a world-leading veterinary research and development facility.
