Glancy Nicholls Architects undertook the initial feasibility and design of a 900-home residential and mixed-use masterplan scheme for Wolverhampton City Council and its joint development partners. We have presented a vision for a creative, commercial, and living-focused district that provides Wolverhampton with a new urban destination, adjacent to the redevelopment works for the University and its central railway station.
This scheme offers retail opportunities, new commercial space, integrated green infrastructure and a mixture of residential styles. The accommodation includes family living spaces, luxury loft-style apartments, retained post-graduate living opportunities and high-quality landscaped courtyards. These are all intended to have a clear identity and sense of belonging to the Wolverhampton’s aesthetic and unique heritage.
Warmly received by Wolverhampton City Council, Brewers Yard is both a uniquely Wolverhampton proposal as well as being a viable deliverable outline for the city’s forthcoming resurgence.
