Glancy Nicholls Architects were appointed by Miller Homes to develop a new single storey Primary School in the village of Brailsford in Derbyshire.

The concept of the design was to maintain a domestic scaled building with a rural vernacular appearance which contains bright, playful interiors, creating a fun and exciting building to study in. The building was oriented to take advantage of the far reaching views over the Derbyshire countryside.

The primary school provides four general classrooms, library, specialist teaching spaces, shared teaching spaces and hall, plus non-teaching areas including staff facilities.
