St Modwen together with Glancy Nicholls Architects were appointed in 2008 to undertake a feasibility study that focused on the re-development of the Fabian Way site, East of Swansea docks as the second Swansea University campus. Our brief was to support St Modwen in developing the master plan proposals for a science and innovation campus on the 69-acre site. The new campus will also include 4,000 student residences. The Welsh Assembly Government recently pledged to support the the scheme with partners BP, whom has gifted land to the scheme, specialist developers St Modwen, Neath and Port Talbot Council, Swansea Council and the Prince’s Foundation.
