This development of eight dwellings and a visitor centre forms the first phase of a major mixed use development in Coed Darcy, South Wales, for which Glancy Nicholls (projects) were appointed Executive Achitects.

The design of the dwellings carefully reflects a simple, harmonious welsh vernacular and a key principle of Coed Darcy is to create an attractive, cohesive and well balanced community with a strong sense of identity and distinctiveness and having due regard to the environment within which it is located. Sustainable living will be encouraged through comprehensive and holistic design. The 8 dwellings and visitor centre will provide an exemplar form of development reflecting the principles set out by the wider Coed Darcy Development. It will demonstrate a high level of sustainable materials and renewable technologies.
