One of four developments caring for older adults in Birmingham, the accommodation has been developed in consultation with several leading specialists in the field of dementia design, enabling users to extend their independence. Great attention has been paid to the building design, its layout, equipment and finishes as well as the external spaces which are divided into differing sensory spaces.

The building features 32 long term en-suite beds, in clusters of 8, with associated dining and lounge areas. 16 respite en-suite beds and 16 intermediate care en-suite beds. The project also offers facilities for community use including; a restaurant, hair dresser, internet café, activity rooms, prayer room, interactive technology area, gymnasium, physiotherapy, therapy and consultancy rooms. GNA were Executive Architects working alongside the Client for this project.
